Campaign Story

Hi! My name is Taylor, my boyfriend Jake, and my son Myles! We are so happy to meet you all! I was blessed with Myles back in 2015 with zero complications, at the young age of 17 with his father (who is not Jake). Over the span of the next 6 years i experienced terrible periods/uncontrolled heaving bleeding/non stop bleeding. The answer at the time was to put me on 8 different birth controls over that span of years, which destroyed my body. And due to the bleeding i was exhausted 24/7. No one seemed to have an answer for me until 2021 when i had a scope done in office and discovered i had Polyps. I had a quick outpatient surgery to remove them, but it didn’t work. Fast forward i had another surgery. A little more aggressive this time. And put on more birth control. It seemed to have worked this time. All was good. Now I’m with Jake and we are ready to start a family! After a year of trying we knew something was not right. I soon discovered that due to my surgeries i have too much scar tissue and that it is preventing anything from entering my tubes, so there is no good or safe way for me to get pregnant except IVF. In the midst of this we lost Myles father unexpectedly. He was only in his late 20s. Trying to navigate grief and trying to navigate the high cost of the IVF meds and treatment has been hard on us, and while having insurance coverage, it is limited. And we are forced to choose between treatment or meds on what we want covered. So one or the other will need to come directly out of pocket. Anything helps. Myles is now turning 9. And i would like him have the sibling he’s been asking for before he gets too much older 🙂 anything helps, and we appreciate anyone who just took the time to read our story.
